Introducing e-book ILL!

Stephen B. Luce Library is pleased to announce that we will be participating in a 1-year pilot program for whole e-book interlibrary loan beginning on Tuesday, February 1^st.

Requests can be placed directly through the library’s online catalog.

1. From the item record, under full text availability, click request a copy.

2. The item information will automatically populate in the form – please provide your name, email address, and campus then click submit.

3. Requests will be managed centrally by SUNY Library Services. SLS staff will create the lending link and provide it directly to the requestor via e-mail. Loans will be for 14 days starting at point of link creation.
   1. Requests will be filled Monday-Friday with an anticipated turnaround time between 24 and 48 hours.

Other things to know about this pilot program:

• Only e-books that were purchased with an unlimited license will be available for lending during this pilot— ensuring that our locally owned e-books will remain available to the campus community without interruption.
• Publishers currently in this pilot include:
  • Taylor and Francis (no textbooks or content published after 2019)
  • Brill
  • New York University Press
  • Oxford University Press
  • Duke
  • Bloomsbury
