The information below is intended to assist users in planning a trip to the Stephen B Luce Library
- The Stephen B. Luce Library is two floors in the historic Fort Schulyer. The front desk, reserve materials, reference collection, bound periodical collection, periodical collection, and DVD collection, as well as the computers, student printer, scanner, study tables, group study rooms, Active Learning Classroom, and Writing Center Annex are located on the first floor. The circulating collection, individual study carrels, and Archival Reading Room are located on the second floor. The second floor is accessible by stairs only.
- A single occupancy accessible restroom is available on the first floor of the library
- Library front desk height is 40"
- The average desk height of tables in the library is 29”
- Doors to library and Active Learning Classroom are 40” wide
- All SUNY Maritime users may page books from the second-floor stacks for first floor pick-up in advance by placing a request the item through the library catalog. Users needing assistance accessing a second floor book may request assistance at the Front Desk.
- Handicap parking spots are available on Wadhams Street and in Visitor Parking Lot #11
