Below are some basic guidelines to use when formatting your research paper using CSE citation style. However, some professors may have specific preferences when using CSE. Make sure to follow your professor's specific guidelines over CSE recommendations.
When citing a journal, use the official abbreviation of its title. If the journal consists of one word, do not abbreviate.
Book and article titles should have the first word capitalized; all other words in the title and sub-title should be lowercase except for proper nouns.
